If you so much as get me started on the parallels between Eren/Mikasa/Armin and Hanji/Levi/Erwin I will probably piss on everything you l o v e ok
So here’s a lil bit of literary theory I’ve put to it:
- If you think it’s just a coincidence that they’re matching pairs of threes, you’re probably not seeing a coincidence
- If you think it’s just a coincidence that they’re sets of two guys and girl with the same complexion patterns (blond, brunette, and black hair) it’s probably not a coincidence
- If you think it’s a coincidence that both Hanji/Eren are zealous about titans (albeit in opposite fashions), Mikasa and Levi are both highly skilled and obsessive (Mikasa about keeping her promise, i.e. protecting Eren, and Levi about cleanliness), and the fact that Armin literally looks up to Erwin as a strategic mastermind, it’s probably not a coincidence
